Walt Disney gave us a brand new Cinderella!

After 65 years Disney gave us a new Cinderella.This Time with real actors but still keeps the original story. With a great cast of actors like:Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Helen Bonham Carter. I would like to choose my favorite parts of the both versions !









1. Lily James is very beautiful and no one can deny that but I like the animation version of Cinderella more with the hair up! 

2. The waltz is more beautiful in the live actors version, they make us dream during that scene and their eyes are all shine and full of love!













3.Stepmother and sisters,here is getting difficult to choose, but when it comes to Cate Blanchett I surrender and selects her version!

4.Animated version of stepmother is more powerful model of hair but to the latest version of Femme Fatal dominance of Lady Tramein, really makes us tremble .
















5.The good fairy mother I prefer more the animated version. Because Helen  is more beautiful than Cinderella to my point of view so maybe she can go and catch the prince for herself at the ball.While the animation version the fairy is a little fat and forgetful.

6. The crystal shoe at the new movie is quite spectacular with the butterfly on the top. If they were for sale we will go buy them for sure,just to have them in our wardrobe!

P.s Regarding the message of the film from a feminist perspective,I would suggest to do the  Bechdel test. Cinderella passes the test with the relationship that she has with the fairy.

Get ready for a St.Valentine weekend!

If you are not expecting a big proposal night on the 14-th of February 2015, take my advise and organize a movie weekend. Buy everything you may need for a hole weekend, dress up with your more comfortable cloths. If you do not look pretty then wear pearl they make ugly cloths fashionable everytime.Now you may have your list of favorite movies but here is mine and you are welcome to copy it.


1. I am starting with Casablanca, so I can remember my boyfriend to take me to Paris even though I hope we won't have only Paris in our life.

                                                                                                                                                                 2. Then I am going to watch Say Anything just in case that he might get inspired to play music to me behind the closed door,cause I lock my self in a room when I get angry.








3. The Notebook, because I would ask him to build me a home :)

      4. Dirty Dancing just for the music so we can dance

5. Blue Valentine so we would know what means to grow apart from each other.









6. Serendipity so we would count our serendipity moments.

 I could list a lot of other movies but this special day isn't all about the movies. 

Anyway I was lucky enough to arrive home because  I was in airports half of the day and I skipped the movie evening went directly to the last part.  :)

Of course everyone knows only Hollywood and yet it follow the Boolywood and Nollywood.




Hollywood is the first place where filmmakers gather from around the world, especially European ones because of WWII. Hollywood is who shows us the American dream, educates Americans and sets standards for the way of life around the world. Movies pass several stages as western, classic novels, films noir, films of the female revolution, hi-tec technological films, films composed of families, and that they recently 3D. Hollywood  makes huge profits for each film that comes out in the market but they are also expensive and their promotion takes a big part of the money.  

Bollywood with a domestic overproduction has become enjoyable for the rest of the world. Sweet romantic scenarios that convey the values of a society as education, mutual respect and traditions. And although we know many of the Hollywood actor had problems with the persecutions from fans and keeping their live private the Indian actors have the same problems even worst. Bollywood actress pass the fame to their children who continue their empire and was a little to say that if Americans have the president of the saint in India are actresses. 

Nollywoodi, tell me you have heard about it? Nigerian cinema is which insists on its success and has managed to rank with wood side end. In Nigeria they make a law that wouldn't allow foreign films to be shown through television and 2/3 of the population decided to make himself these films. So they begin to shoot with digital cameras and assemble and launch them in direc in tv,not in cinemas. Nigerian cut the classic movie premieres chain will go on pay per view platforms in the countries where they migrated more as uk. After platforms would be televisions that will buy these films and will eventually be out in the market with a price of about 1 dollar. Bad movies or good movies they do not cere much, but they are getting better with the time and  their rates are vine growing.

Cinema of the 70’s

Before the 'Avatar' phenomenon we all thought that the recent period of Hollywood's golden age would be the 70's. However,  never say never  because the history repeats itself. So in the 70's, new technology like Dolby Sound  and Panavision will bring  people to the cinemas to win the battle with the television as well as in 2009 with the 3D technology will break every record of the cinemagoers. Let us return to the 70 'where  avantgarde generation of filmmakers like George Lucas' Star Wars' and Steven Spielberg with' Jaws' made the history of those years. I must emphasize that in the 70 films Block-buster were those films that used new technology or new achievements in science unknown world outside the planetary, new approaches to distance the human from the religion and God. While the cult films for the message to transmit as 'The Godfather', 'One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest', 'Taxi driver' deal with the topic of post-war, loneliness social chaos that was America and the mafia that in one way or another has been part the most important of its building.

And although women gained priority in social and political life, cinematography does not respond there is no film to represent the women of those days and its efforts in society. In the late 70 'Woody Allen will be one that will bring a new style romantic comedy centered on a young woman already emancipated in his film "Annie Hall." Allen is the only although autobiographical notes which creates the character of Annie which then inspires women in America for the way she dresses. In this film we see that a movie leads and inspires the society and not as a derivative of social events.
Until the 90's would be used in wardrobes of American style of Annie Hall, a woman wearing men's trousers jacket shirt and left anyway but very feminine. This style highlights the difference between fabric and garments for men as men, but retaining the part of women. Woody helps careerist feminist women of those years while I attached to this wardrobe on the other side though with regret that since the entire emancipation of women in society cinema responds only with an innovation-mind wardrobe.

America of the 70’s

During the  70’ the things continue to evolve and change. The people started more and more not to trust the government and 'the radical' ideas of the 60' earned ground among the people. Starting from tripling the participation of women in decision-making of the country and among disadvantaged minorities and Gay-t to gain equal rights.Cultural life flourishes in America the events and changes that happened,  inspired music, literature, films and fashion. We have 
   We have the innovation of new technologies such as the use of floppy disc, e-mail, the laser printer and video recorder with VHS tapes which will make possible the distribution of films for everyone to watch from home. 
A new sound will emerge after the death of Elvis Presley and the split up of  Beatles. Will be Pink Floyd, Bee Gees, Elton John, John Lennon (who was also an activist against the war in Vietnam) and Bob Marley music starts to internationalize Regge.                                              

3D Cinema

End finally we can see movies in 3D, but with this movies we can spot different reactions to the 3D fenomena.
1. Those people who experienced it with the same reaction like the one of the Train in Lumiere cinemas at the beginning of the time,
2. Those people who wanted to take the 3D glasses home,to see if the magic will continue.
3.Those people who didn't care and were surprised from the reactions of the others.


 Then after 3 movies they would calm down. They learned that nothing bad would happen to them,the glesses would work only in the cinema so they returned them back .
After the big surprise and getting use to this movies some other types came up. If I would ask anyone have you seen a 3D movie lately they would reply:
- No I have already seen one of them!



Not every movie is worth it to watch in 3D,especially those with live action people and no supernatural heroes. I do love to watch only animated movies in 3D but at this movies there is another problem,the kids and the mother that comes with them that has to tell the story so the kids would understand it.

Mona Lisa Smile

I thought I was headed to a place that would turn out tomorrow's leaders, not their wives!" -- Katherine Watson (Julia Roberts), Mona Lisa Smile

During this film girls are presented as individuals who need to be able to provide a marriage. The story is based entirely on war and feminism though most of the characters are married. While I see this movie, a question arises: How did we become like we are?

The answer is found in women played by Julia Roberts. Thanks to her throughout history such companies' expectations for women have changed. I myself want to define this film as a feminist film,this film shows feminist movement in both its forms and in the form of mass meetings and in another form which is also essential in such work and dedication that Watson has for himself and people around him. Of course we can not imagine today ourselves in situations that exceed characters in film but also in himself back in a way we pupil Watson and draw inspiration and lessons. Every time I've seen this film I felt that I grew a little.

Cinema of ther 60's

During the 60's the big film studios will be threaten from the raising of television.The golden age is over and indipendent movies are made.During this time there are less American movies made and there is the boom of Fellini,Godar,Antonioni,L.Bunuel and Hitchcook.At this godd time for the indipendent movies we hear first the names of Sidney Pollac. He changed the rules of the movies regarding sex scenes. This would make an avantgarde cinema and this would be as a result of Woodstock and the seksual liberation. 

. Regarding the feminism movement there is only one movie that we can mention ‘Rosemary Baby’ this movie will become a kult film and later on you will hear the say 'Not another Rosemary's Baby'. The main theme here is abortion. Rosemary is a catholic and lives in New York,she is newly wed and when times come she wants to have a baby.  She stays home, and takes care of her husband. Economically she depends on him and she is always doing what he wants regardless of her own wishes.Suddenly her husband decides to have a baby,that proper night she dreams that someone is raping her. Her husband tells her that he made love with her while she was asleep. She is pregnant and suffers through the hole pregnancy. At the end she learns that her husband had made a deal with the devil so she decides to kill her baby. .This is a film which has been discussed in terms of religion, faith,in scenes of violence becoming a film pioneer for the later as well as problems with the justice that had Polanski. In my opinion this film represents the struggle of women to that period when seeking the right to abortion. Many women were silent except for rape to become detached from the spouses and raise children bore fruit not of love but of violence. How can increase a child when his mother recalls the humiliation and violence that is inflicted upon due to helplessness against the other sex. Rosemary fights to keep her child but does not protect society from that rape that was done, she wins over her Catholic guilt when he learns that her child will grow as the son of the devil and kill it sets .

America of the 60's

  60s will begin with the movement of the civil rights activist the most known M.L.King  and Rosa Parker (mother of modern days for African-Americans). After the assassination of M.L.King would be his wife Correta S King that would continue the movement for women's liberation and will take the name 'Black Power. 
                                    

The women will begin their revolt in socio-political life. Now labeled only for their role as mothers, wives, those seeking gender equality household. So in factories, institutions, military academies and air and open doors for women. 

Here we look at and most profound change among women in America and Albania. Although American Propaganda was the land of dream and freedom or equal opportunities. it was so  only for men but white men. All others as women, minorities and sexual colored fought and were sacrificed to achieve equality in society. 
 1964 launched the Vietnam War, the postwar while children are now teens and want to see the world as a revolutionary. Girls were screaming  after Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin and starts and Beatles mania. 

Miniskirts will seize the trend of the time, what. It will have an impact around the world until nowadays is 60 years invention of Barbie doll which returned to perfect the female model as early America and then throughout the world.Meanwhile a new generation is raising who is against the war and this will be the Hippie's. This move crowned with the festival wood stock protests. Hippie keep itself free drugs as a way of expression, rock, freedom in choosing Religioni and sexual freedom. Television will become with colour and finally  the first man on the moon by Apollo 11.

Cinema of the 50's

Hollywood would enterto  a classic period of his post and starts to feel the threat of television but nevertheless finds a way to gather people in cinema. In these years will notice an influx of men in cinema generally and for all for the same reason. A beautiful and sexy blond,men will be attracted to she was Marilyn Monroe. She returned the desire of every man acting not because of how much more to her appearance. Cinema turns her into a sexual desire and in an object for men in her films like "marry a millionaire 'and' Men prefer blondes' she puts a price for every women. Every woman can be bought with a diamonds because diamonds are the best friends of women, I have promoted Hollywood-50s headed by Marilyn Monroe. He was leading this belief was great inventor and producer of aircraft but Howard Hughes movie. Was this man with a problematic character who bought the most beautiful women of the time like Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe, Anita Akbar and Kate Hepburn. The relationship with his women we be passing more beautiful in his films and this was not an intimate relationship or erotic but affiliation actors belonged to him and that I kitted with gifts from more expensive, many actors like Anita Akbar not played ever movies while leaving the production of Hughes. Although the fame of his films came to my generation. Either all girls worship Marilyn Monroe and her relationships with men in that has represented it in the cinema. Newspapers and magazines in Albania still talk about glorification of women in this period. Huges so would be quite proud of the beautiful brain wash that made women around the world and for so many years. So time and very few have realized that the brilliance of the diamond that a man gives a woman  is like a letter of ownership that we take when we buy a property, even if the relationship in pairs to go wrong a woman will look diamond and to forget everything will just just like a lawyer looks at his papers 

Promote your movie like Hitchcock did with Psycho

I am still wondering with my self is Mr.Hitchcock put a special policy on watching Psycho because it was needed to feel the movie fear or because he needed promotions. We know that we live in the world of the mouth but we learn also that if anything is limited edition we want to have it,this is what he did. First he screened it in some theaters then it got famous. I am listing below the regulations.

1.  Psycho need to be seen from the beginning and this is a must
You could read this regulations everywhere and people got curious just because they were not allowed to enter to the theater after the beginning of the act,at times were the publicity usually consisted on just buying tickets
and watch movies without any attached regulations

2. We won't allow you to cheat every theater manager is instructed to admit now one after the start of the   movie 
The theaters were responsible for this instructions to be followed by everyone also they put people in every exit so no one could entered or exit during the movie. This way people were told that they would live a unique experience.


I do not know if this policy would work now days because it is difficult for people not to chew or drink during the movie,it is a nightmare to get them to switch off the mobiles let alone entering in theaters accordingly a regulation,even though it is for their own pleasure. 

Dresses that you want to find in you wardrobe!

I have to confess that when a girl watches a movie besides crying over a love story or get inspired to change things in her life one other important thing is what the actresses are wearing. I am going to share with you my list, What list? ....come on you know what list we all have it - is the list of the dresses that we want to have some day or that we wish to sew in a cheap tailor in our neighborhood. I am sure that every other girl in the world has one of this dresses in her list.                      

1. Audrey Hepburn red dress in Fanny Faces is the one dress can every girl and women can wear and look gorgeous. We learn from the Hepburn not only to wear a black dress but also to be stunning with the red Edith Head and Givenchy dress.    

2.    Grace Kelly's blue dress in the movie

 'To catch a thief'.  I love the draping of chiffon, the way it flows in sections when she walks and  the two-toned bodice and skirt. 

3. 'Ten things I hate about you' tulle dress. I like it short and long but tulle skirt can be wear for a daytime look too.

 

5. The seven year Itch Marilyn Monroe white dress. I don't need to say anything about this dress because everything is already been said.

6. How to loose a guy in 10 days Kate Hudson yellow satin dress is simple and yet with a sexy back side.One bad thing is that your body should be flawless.

7. Sabrina,Audrey Hepburn. One of the most elegant and timeless dresses of all times.      

8. Atonement Keira Knightley  green satin dress. 

One thing is sure the dress became more famous then the movie.

Same conflict different endings Movies

Same conflict different end,hollywood/europian plots

Two beautiful movies Le Mepris (Contept)and Indecent Proposal. In the first movie  ‘Paul Javal is a writer who is hired to make a script for a new movie about Ulysses more commercial, which is to be directed by Fritz Lang and produced by Jeremy Prokosch.Because he let his wife Camille drive with Prokosch and he is late, she believes, he uses her as a sort of present for Prokosch to get a better payment.

In the second movie also Demi Moore persuaded by her husband accepts  the indecent proposal to sleep for one night with Robert Redford the millionaire,so they would solve the economic problem.

In the first movie when the wife discovers hers husband agenda she falls out in love from him and they break up. While in the second movie they at first try to go back together then break up as would have happened in the real life or so I belive but…. in the end I don’t know how they manage to get back together. Does this mean that the European cinema in this case is more honest about real life or Hollywood knows better things like - people always want a happy ending. 

The imaginary Albania of Hollywood

Hollywood screenwriters are very happy that Albania is not very known and they can imagine it as they wish. I imagine these screenwriters sitting in a table and thinking: What to add something interesting and fun to the script ... Let's through a bit of Albania cause ultimately people will not realize that we are talking bullshit.
Let's take the movie 'My Mom's New Boyfriend'  with the Albanian underground restaurant.

1.Albanians do not keep the chickens  in the middle of the house. Well we do sometimes  during New Year's eve but it stays in the bathroom , like in these movie below: 'In our home '

2. Belidancing is not the Albanian traditional dancing,you could have  googel it and find something  like: Lily Cingu.

3.I have not heard of us eating alligators. Birds like chickens, ducks I eat also lambs and cows. In Albania are no Crocodiles but now I am thinking that  probably we might have eaten them.

4. Graski - It looks like they have mixed the word Raki (Albanian Brandy) and Gezuar (Cheers), but I don't think that they gave it so much thought

 In the end, it turns out that the Albanian flag was the only Albanian thing there that charmed up the scene.

No Jew was injured during the implementation of this film"

‘Serious Man’

After the final scene of the film "serious man" the Coen brothers wrote a statement like: 

"No Jew was injured during the implementation of this film"

You can call it as a comic but also sarcastic statement or sharp,  tells the system of Jewish faith and delusions. Given that they depart from their personal experience, raised in a Jewish neighborhood, they make their statement even more attractive.

This is the first film of the brothers who have not well known actor and I also see that performance is not 'wild' if I refer Burn After Reading and No Country For Old Men. The film is centered on the late 60 'a period Larry Gopnikut  does not give any freedom or opportunity for his continuity in the profession at the same time when his private life is destroyed. A brief summary of his wife seeks divorce traditional that will remarry, his brother flawed sit sleep in the kitchen and occupies the toilet being taken to work in his science, his son must pay 20 dollar for marijuana, which has mare in school, his daughter steals Edition that will redo nose and hair washing problem and it is this the routine of private life of a provincial Jew. Males and females are not included with one another except in scenes where there is massive and non-Jews. Comic film scenes where brothers highlight their characteristic to emphasize comic of people are the neighbor of Larry hunts with rifle and subjective I plan on Bar Mitzvah boy. 

Tragicomic note even more when Professor sacking his house begins to meet with rabbays and wants to know why he's being bad luck,while they  could not give a respond. Personally relationship that first scene of the film starting with not related to his extension but it is characteristic of the brothers' immediate change of situation that I hook up a message or idea ultimately all lead to absurd existence of humanity. All the characters in the film handle the principles of unsecured or actions have consequences or not, or do not have to accept their mystery.

The film closes or is terminated as a puzzel simply have more of a piece more as was beloved wife of the professor or the Regulation of notes that student life Gopnikut will return as before or not this have on the wrist to believe we will be better or worse to or the same.

America during 40's- 50's (Noir)

America of the 40's - 55's

  America will emerge in the 45 world war after use bombs of mass destruction (nuclear) Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But social economic life in America was concentrated on women's work because they had already replaced men away at war. Emigrates to America and a large class of intellectuals who fled from Europe because of Hitler's genocide and fair to honor a director that will mark the next era of the Hollywood Film Noir.

American cinema of the 40's - 50's

The cinema of these years and the first half of the 50's will get involved with a new concept of film as a noir or Black. In the center of this film would have "Femme Fatale 'or otherwise in poor said a woman who is ready to kill.
 Femme fatale  uses her charm and sensuality to deceive men in order to achieve wealth, independence and power and sometimes all three together are reached up killing them standing in their path. So they violate every norm of society to achieve selfish purposes.

The film will portray noir fatale as mighty independently to punish after being destroyed at the end of it and the male that loves. All these films have at their center a woman among them will be singled out, 'Double Indemnity'  wife is much younger than her husband begins an idyll of love with the agent of insurance for killing her husband and gain wealth insurance of his life denouncing and agent at the end.

'Mildread Pierce' - A woman who sacrifices everything to raise her children in life mundane, fulfilling every whim but in the end her daughter becomes a killer when fancy her to be married to the man her mother is not fulfilled .
