In America starts deflation to be followed by unemployment and then the great depression in the years '33. On top of the country comes Franklin.D.Roosevelt with his 100-day plan manages the situation and yet can not escape the onset of World War II '41 - '45. And while we Hollywood will enter its golden period.
American cinema of the 30s
The sad years for Americans while stars continued
their life of luxury. Scenario earned more value in this period trying to comfort people.
They begin from the councils of boredom, to facing the day with little income,
Selection of life in the community not to lose hope of seeing the end of the
situation so comical. Only one film broke viewership records in this period. Is
the movie 'It happened one night' that entertained people with his humor during
the depression. On top of the film is quite a couple of differences. A fired
journalist played by Clark Gable and a snobbish rich heir played by Claudete
Colbert. The film is like a reverse story of Cinderella because here we have a
princess who had abandoned life to be simple become a journalist. A film where Love wind over the socio-economic differences.
The film "It happened one night 'made people laugh seeing that there may
be people who leave wealth for love as did the main actors. Spectators women
who go to the cinema to see films of Bette Davis or Claudete Colbert and that was the beginning of a new female model.
Their films were in the spotlight main character of a woman who tries to do seduce
husband who loves and in fact in 6 minutes of the last film she achieves its
purpose by falling in the arms of the man you love or and disappointed by love
but how is it during the 95 minutes prior to realize its goal. During all this
time in cinema they showd a woman who works, keeps the house and children and
yet after so many anxieties she succeeds to have a man, or to return home
father of her children. With this view of these years I would say with
conviction that female revolution has not started with 'Thelma and Louise' but
has started at characters like Bette Davis in "All about Eve ',' Beyond
forest 'etc.
